Activating a license

Binding a license to an address, and moving it later.

Most control panel licenses are bound to a single server address for the billing period. The binding rules for a given license are stated on its product page before you buy.

Assigning a license

  1. Open the licenseLicenses in your dashboard, then the license you want to assign.
  2. Choose a serviceOnly services whose address is eligible under the license terms are listed.
  3. Install the softwareFollow the vendor instructions on the license page. Installation happens on your server, not through us.

Reassignment is limited

Vendors restrict how often a license may move between addresses. The limit that applies to your license is shown on the license page.

License keys

A key is masked by default and revealed only when you ask for it. Each reveal is recorded in your activity log. Keys are never included in email, in invoices or in support previews.
