What can I run on a VdsRent server?

Anything compatible with the system image and the plan you choose: websites, APIs, databases, automation, game servers, development environments and remote desktops. You get root or administrator access, so what runs is your decision within the Acceptable Use Policy.

Can I upgrade my server later?

Upgrade paths depend on the product and the region. The options available to a service are listed on its page in your dashboard, and a plan page shows what is possible before you order.

Which operating systems are available?

System images vary by plan and by region. The configuration flow lists only the images offered for the exact combination you selected, so nothing appears that cannot be installed.

Do I get root access?

Yes. Every virtual server includes root access on Linux images or administrator access on Windows images.

Are backups included?

No. Backups are an option you enable where the plan supports them, and the price is shown before you enable it. Nothing is being backed up until you switch it on.

Are servers managed?

Virtual servers are self-managed. We are responsible for the service being available and reachable; the operating system and everything you install on it are yours.

How are domain registration and renewal billed?

Separately, and both figures are shown before you buy. Where a first-year price differs from the renewal price, the renewal price appears next to it rather than in a footnote.

How long does a transfer take?

The registry controls the timing. Most extensions complete within five days once the authorisation code is accepted, but we do not publish a guaranteed completion time. The current state is always visible on the domain page.

What is an authorisation code?

A credential issued by your current registrar that authorises a transfer. Treat it like a password: we mask it on entry, never log it and never send it to analytics.

Can my registrant details be hidden?

WHOIS privacy is available for the extensions whose registry permits it. Where a registry requires publication, we say so on the domain rather than offering an option that cannot be honoured.

Should I choose hosting or a cloud server?

Choose hosting when you want the web server, PHP and databases already configured. Choose a cloud server when you need control over the operating system, or when you are running something other than a website.

Do you offer unlimited hosting?

No. Every hosting plan states its website count, storage and resource limits as numbers. We do not use the word "unlimited" for a resource that has a limit.

Migration availability is stated on each hosting plan. Where it is not offered, the plan says so rather than implying a service that does not exist.

Are software licenses tied to a specific server?

Most control panel licenses are activated for one server IP address for the billing period. The exact binding rule for each license is stated on its product page before purchase.

Can I move a license to another server?

Reassignment is possible where the vendor terms allow it, and vendors usually limit how often. The limit that applies to your license is shown on the license page in your dashboard.

Can I get a refund on a license?

A license that has been issued and activated is generally not refundable, because the vendor has already been billed. The refund policy states this per category rather than as one blanket rule.

We resell licenses. We do not describe ourselves as an official partner of any vendor, and third-party product names and logos remain the property of their owners.

Every price carries a tax label stating whether tax is included or excluded. The label is set for the storefront and appears next to the figure, not in a tooltip.

A setup fee is shown as a separate one-time line wherever it applies. Where there is none, the plan says "No setup fee" rather than leaving it unstated.

Turn off auto-renew to stop the next charge and keep the service to the end of the paid period, or terminate the service to end it immediately. The flow states which one you are choosing and what happens to your data.

The Security section lists your active sessions with the device and when each was last active, and lets you revoke any of them. We deliberately do not show a precise location derived from an IP address.
